Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L04032016. AROMA: moderate-low roasted notes with some dark chocolate notes. medium-low caramel aroma with a medium nutty oatmeal-like presence. APPEARANCE: brown to dark-brown color and translucent against light. medium light brown and moussy head with good retention. TASTE: initial slight sweet medium roasted notes with a dark chocolate character and a medium nutty presence. light caramel note. medium-high bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a brown ale with good aromas but more muted caramel on the flavor and a bit too bitter.
