Sampled @ Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2016, Friday, Day 1 Pours hazy orange brown colour with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark sweet malt, chocolate and nuts. Taste of sweet chocolate malt, nuts, caramel, good!

Bottle, 5.5%. Hazy dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, hop and nut. Flavour is malt, caramel, nut, toasted, medium sweet, little chocolate, hop and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, nutty and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and modereate bitter finish. 190816

Bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering, fonefan. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are nuts, caramel, fruits, malt and hops. Light bitter finish with lots of caramel.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L04032016. AROMA: moderate-low roasted notes with some dark chocolate notes. medium-low caramel aroma with a medium nutty oatmeal-like presence. APPEARANCE: brown to dark-brown color and translucent against light. medium light brown and moussy head with good retention. TASTE: initial slight sweet medium roasted notes with a dark chocolate character and a medium nutty presence. light caramel note. medium-high bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a brown ale with good aromas but more muted caramel on the flavor and a bit too bitter.
