Reviewed from notes.
On tap at 1st Republic.
Appearance: burnt yellow color with a light chill haze to it and a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: soft orangey to sly grapefruity hop sweetness with a slight piney bitterness; then some clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet tone with a little bit of hop zest; finishes with a pinch of dryness and a slight orangey to piney tone
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; sturdy smoothness along the tongue with a nice carb level and subtle hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: and this was all in a blonde ale? uhhhh, yeah, I would come back to this if I could.
