On July 4, 2013, Brad, Ian, Shawn & Theron took advantage of all having the same day off to brew our first batch of beer: Shamus Stout. In a happy accident, the new equipment worked better than we thought and the beer came out a lot stronger than we expected! Anniversary Stout is a recreation of this first batch: dark, roasty and high alcohol. As a special treat, we will only be offering it on nitro. Try Anniversary by itself or in a fusion with our other great brews.

Sample at the taproom during the "2016 Anniversary Stout Cellared Release" event on 06/27/2017. Brown-black color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of charred malt, bittersweet chocolate and coffee. The finish is smoked malt and chocolate. Pretty good overall.

Draft at the source. Clear dark maroon color, thick brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of burnt espresso. Taste is bittersweet cocoa powder, coffee grounds, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla. Very tasty.
