On tap at Gordons in Columbus. Pours a pale yellow with white head. Taste is light malt with some crisp hops. I would rather have Gordons Golden Export if you like the light beers.

Clear yellow with a white head. Malts and light hops in the aroma. Crisp and clean flavor with grains and a touch of earthy hops. Not much going on with this beer, actually.

On tap. Clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is faint with grain notes. Taste is water, sharp and husky with a bitter finish but little hop flavor. Fizzy and dry.

Sampled on draft at the Virginia Beach location. Pours a clear amber color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Fairly bitter and grassy hop aroma. Taste is very similar but with a bit of an alcohol/medicinal note. Thin bodied.

Sampler at Bolingbrook. A more golden body than the Golden Export. Pilsener toast malts and a definitely Saaz-y hop smell. Taste shows this to be a nice calibration beer for the American version of a Pils. Firmly grounded in spicy hops and lightly roasted malts. Goes down very easily.

Location: We have a bunch of these in the metro DC area, I think I’ve prob been to 3 of them, including the one in "Downtown Rockville" that I visit pretty often, I’ve had this one on tap there

Overall Impression: A little better then the other Pils offerings from GB, has some additional flavor, character, spice...a decent lager

Draft @ Miami location. Pours medium golden color with a floral, fruity aroma. I’m not getting any saaz hop aroma. Flavor is too fruity for a pilsner. Not sure if this could be from fermentation temerature too high. Medium body with average carbonation. Not very good.

.5 liter draft at the Gordon Biersch brewpub in downtown Kansas City. Pour is clear golden, not much of a white head. Pretty lacing as the glass goes down. Aroma of grainy earthy malt and fresh saaz hops. Taste is a nice mix between the grainy hay malt and saaz bitter hoppiness. Palate is medium to thin, prickly carbonation and a long grassy finish. Overall, a nice refreshing Pils that went well with the excellent chicked sandwich I had for lunch.
