Bottle - Orange, caramel and boozy heat. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Lots of orange and a bit of medicinal and herbal notes. A bit boozy and just not that great. Huge miss.

Location: Draft at BRC, 4/1/14
Aroma: It has a resiny aroma, with some pine, and caramel notes
Appearance: Murky dark orange pour, with a white head, and a rather coating lace
Flavor: The taste is very much the same, with resiny hops, pine, and a mild caramel sweetness
Palate: This one has a medium-full body, with a soft carbonation, and a really nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I liked this one. It was a really nice DIPA, but even moreso, it had a great pour and a great feel. It probably won't live up to other beers I have given a 4.2, but I just couldn't think of reasons to go under a 5 on appearance or palate.

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a lot of bitter pine and resin with backing notes of grass and grain. Flavor has a nice combination of bitter, resin, sweet grains and grass.

On tap at the River Room, Boise. Clear deep orange amber with a full lasting light tan head. Chunky thick lacing. Moderate fresh hop flavor and plenty bitter. Fully attenuated and somewhat dry. Pleasant late bitter bite. A pretty easy double

Pours up at AZ Strong Ale Fest 2014 with a crystal clear copper body that has thick pervasive golden hues and supports a nice looking light tan head. The aroma offers sweet dark fruity esters as well as malt sweetened citrus to slightly mango fruitiness. The taste begins with cherry to blueberry to brown sugar covered raisin like fruity esters that seem pretty far out of place. Behind the esters I get malt sweetened mango and clementine like hop flavor notes and really no hop bitterness at all. Overall this is just too sweet and estery with no bitterness at all.

On tap at Belmont. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A light fruity nose, oranges. The flavor is medium resin, low to medium bitterness, oranges, spices, toffee. Good, smooth. Pretty easygoing.

12 oz bottle, thanks brenn79. Aroma is perfumy, floral, cotton candy. Pours hazy orange with a thick cream-colored head with great retention and lace. Taste is candy sweet, finishing with a piney hoppy bitterness with that lingering candy sweetness. Decent.

Bottle - medium orange color - soapy lace - nose of earthy, almost peaty maltiness, orange marmalade, strong bitter grapefruit and pine - high carbonation, but it is fairly soft - there is an initial strong but clean sweetness, but the malts are mostly crackery, dry, and earthy after that - some mineral notes make way for strong woody, peppery, and citric hops - the malt profile is British in character, but the hop profile is more american - not really for fans of your typical, sticky American IIPA, but I think it’s pretty good.

Pours a deep, clear copper, with mid-sized head that dissipates rapidly. Nice big citrus, floral aroma. Flavor is decent though a bit muted. Some citrus, some pine-hops, but a lot of sweet malt and caramel underneath. Not the best DIPA I’ve tried, but not the worst, either. Worth a try.
