Hopothermia features features Nugget and Apollo provide a green, floral aroma and citrus hop base. Dry hopping with Amarillo, Citra and Centennial hops adds notes of spicy grapefruit and orange to compliment the resilient full malt body. This is an intense yet drinkable Double IPA

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-copper body. Steady, thick, fluffy, off-white head. The aroma doesn’t really jump out at me..pretty restrained in that regard. A pretty solid IIPA, with a nice balance between the rather massive hop flavor and steady malts that lend it a sweet caramel finish on top of the rindy, piny, citrus hops. The regular labels are better looking. I’m happier to buy a four pack of these than a bomber, hopefully more interesting four-packs in the future. Clean, well done, OK, hard not to give it points.

Pours a golden somewhat yellow color and leaves the same color body; the head is about a finger’s worth that bubbles up slightly over the glass, but doesn’t slide over (nice show!); carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace; aroma has strong piney/citrusy scents up front; taste is mainly bitter through the citrusy/piney hops, but still manages to stick a nice light sweetness in there that carries into the aftertaste and then gives a nice dry bitter finish; it comes across fairly harsh on the palate like a good DIPA should and yet still manages to give the sweet stickiness of a good DIPA; overall, hey this is great stuff that I almost always have again. Well done Alaskan Brewing Company.

A golden amber DIPA with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with loads of floral and piney hops, light doughy character, nice. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light iodine notes, resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth but a bit on the sweet side. On tap at Freakin Frog.

Tap at Capital Beerfest 2013. Pours amber with an off-white head. Laid back citrus hop aroma. Med body. Flavor is light pitted fruit with a good dose of citrus. Finishes pretty dry and very hoppy.

Draught. Ugly for an IPA. This beer looked like a bad homebrew. Fruity aroma, something like Asian pears. Hoppy flavour, medium bodied. Hop finish. Seemed not as strong as brewed.
