Tap pour sampled outside the brewpub adjacent to the parking lot and amid lots of hip ‘too cool for school’ cigarette smokers. It poured up deep amber with infra red edges and light colored mocha head. The aroma is inviting with sort of a burnt wheat toast covered in toffee sensation while being nearby a mound of freshly ground dark roasted coffee beans. The taste is robust like the aroma with dark roasted malts running toward slight earthiness and chocolate rolled into charred malts and getting near an ashy aspect. It leaves burnt and roasted malts lingering deep into the after taste. This is full force roasty goodness. Loved it.
