Still Dry Fine Cider

This 2023 vintage of Orange Cider is Little Pomona's homage to skin-contact wines. Made from a single apple variety, Dabinett, grown in their own Burrell's Meadow Orchard. The apples were harvested at their peak in early November, spontaneously fermented, and then aged in neutral oak barrels for a year.

After a further year resting under cork, this Orange Cider reveals a delightfully rich aromatic profile of perfume, flowers, and yellow fruits. On the palate, it offers a deeply juicy freshness with peach, fragrant spice, and sweet herbs. This complexity is balanced by food-friendly tannins and beautifully pitched acidity. It pairs wonderfully with hearty vegetarian cuisine, cheese boards, and barbecue dishes. Alc. 7.1% vol.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Orangey golden colour, short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple, fruit, flesh, funk. Taste is tangy, tart, appley, juicy, fruity, with hint of acetic funk, some woody oak, vanilla and drying tannins. Medium bodied, low soft carbonation, dry oaky tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
