This imperial stout is a blend of three stouts aged in a Scottish whisky, Irish whiskey and American bourbon barrels.
This imperial stout was aged and then re-fermented on a shit load of stupid expensive strawberries, toasted coconut, vanilla and some South American amburana wood.
It is ready to be drunk now. Maybe with your mum, or dine random booze hound that happens to be sniffing about (shading’s caring).
Expect a strawberry cheesecake sort of flavour, along with mellow coconut, sone baking spices fro the vanilla pods and amburana.
Being barrel aged, you might taste some of the booze that they contained (shock horror).
Drink at whatever temperature you see fit.

Cans from House Of Trembling Madness and Against The Grain. Two of only 800 cans. Dark brown body with a tan head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, coconut and mashed strawberry. Flavour of liquorice, strawberry syrup and blueberry with a faint whisky note. Full body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is ridiculously good - it justifies the expensive price. The barrel influence is quite subtle in this, and I’m delighted to see there’s no lactose, which I usually find leads to overly sweet beers. Love the description on the can. Potential best beer of 2026 for me.
