West Coast style India Pale Ale that combines 6 malts and 6 hops with additional dry hopping for three weeks. It takes about a month and a half to make each batch and we think it is worth the wait. Hints of pine and citrus with a powerful, yet balanced hoppy flavor, Hopitoulas packs a punch that you won’t forget.

16 ounce can. Pours an amber orange color. Moderate foamy beige head. Big citrusy pine needle nose. Flavor offers more pine and citrus, but not overdone. Bittersweet toasted malt and grapefruit peel. Smooth as IPA’s go. Nice alternative to the standard fare around town in the Big Easy.

Tap. Pours clear amber, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is very melon, honey dew, mountain dew - that green one. Flavor really tastes like an IPA hoped with that green mountain dew. Weird. Light plus sweet, light bitter. Light body, lingering bitterness.

Markey’s, New Orleans tap: This was the first beer that I had in this fine city. It poured a more golden color with a white head. Aroma was notes of citrus and pine. It was not very extreme or brutal. Rather it had moderate hoppiness and comparatively low bitterness. Nice citrus and fruity notes. Not bad.

Amber in the glass, very floral in the nose. The beer starts nice smooth, malty and floral hops fit well together. The mainpart is smooth, floral with hints of very fresh hops. They stay long in the mouth, smooth malty aftertaste with floral hops.
Nice IPA, bit all could be a bit more intense. Easy to drink! --> 12/12/11/11

On tap at Redfish Grill on Bourbon. Pours a cloudy amber with thick creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is a bready malt and light floral hop. Medium mouthfeel with bitter hop bite and grapefruit with lingering bitter finish. Very good.
