Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left no lacing. The aroma was brewed coffee, roasty malts and wood. The flavor was woody, roasty and dry with a bit of bread crust. Long roasty finish. Medium body.

Keg at the brewery. Clear dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, tobacco, herbal hop. Taste is roast, coffee, chocolate, minty hops. Thin, high carbonation.

Black with very small beige head. Aroma is nice roasty, medium body, low carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is roasty and some chocolate. Pretty good.

Draft at Brew Skies festival 2014. Brown color, beige head with great retention and solid lacing. Nice aroma of huge cocoa powder, coffee grounds. Taste is toasted brown bread and dark chocolate dipped in coffee. Nice body. One of my favorites at the fest.
