Bottle..thanks jjpm74...slightly cloudy amber, tan head...light malty aroma + a little fruity, almost like grapes...light body and carbonation--a light sweetness throughout...not much going on here--a little bitter hop in the finish along with a metal aftertaste...watery and unbalanced

Thanks to tronraner for sharing this at the April Get Together. A clear, medium amber beer that sits below a thin white head. Solventy malt aroma. Slightly sweet with a dry finish. All fo the above flavors can only be found with some searching however. Thin and watery.

Orange brown possibly like iced tea but thicker and more viscous. Sweet candy hints for aroma. Thin creamy thin off white foam for a girdle. Good smooth creamy carbonation. Thicker and mouth coating. Is much higher alky than appears here. Has that quality big beer micro beer finish, fat and bitter. More than a few IPA lovers and imp stout lovers will like this. Drink on, to get this trade with jjpm74. As far as enjoyability goes, itβs like Groelsch and Rock Bottom North Star Amber Ales. Iβm glad I got to taste this rare beer.

Bottle from trade with jipm74. Nose of caramelly malts mixed with fruit scents; rusty colored witha huge, long-lasting, lacing beige head; flavor is carmelly maltswith some hop bitterness trailing into a nice hop finish. A very good amber!

I found this to be fairly above average - and until I saw everyone's ratings here, I was unaware there was a controversy as to its style. My hand written notes basically say A clean and crisp pale ale with some nice hop notes. And that pretty much does it - the hops had a nice but mild bite, giving that crispness, while the malt was there without being strong. Clean fermenting yeast - no esters.
