Pours deep gold into a tulip. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Caramel, toast and tropical fruit aromas. Thick with mango and passionfruit upfront turning to dank resin in the lasting finish.

Bottle. Light amber body with a frothy off-white head, diminishing. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, leafy hops, light resin, lemon, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Light lemon taste along with citrus, grapefruit rind and pine. Hint of onion. Caramel in the background.

Bottle. Pour is a clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas are confusingly skunky... whaaaat? I bought a Heineken? I’m so confused. There’s a bit of grain and citrus in the background, but I’m a bit messed up by this plot twist. Flavor is similar. Skunk up front and a bit of juicy fruit in the finish. If you had asked me to say whether this was Green Flash or not in a blind taste test I would have failed 100% of the time. Decent, but not anything near what I expected.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Tropical fruit bomb on the nose: grapefruit, passion fruit, mango and papaya all there with some light grassy hops. Taste is same with a solid amount of bitterness. Super tasty IPA.

Lightly hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Fluffy malts bring light creamy sweetness. The hop medley sings like this - bitterish citric peel, mild skunk, decent hop spice, nice orange - lemon and some smooth floralness underpinning. Smooth finish with spicy peel and skunk lingering on. Well joined up and super drinkable. Very nicely done.

Draft at the Mellow Mushroom on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Served in a frozen goblet, hadn’t seen that before. The pour is mostly clear golden with a smallish white head. The aroma is resin, citrus hops and not too much cracker malt. The taste is the resin orange grapefruit hops, and an overall malt character that I find typical to Green Flash beers. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and a resin slight mineral dank finish. Tasty.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 12/17/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately resinous/sticky, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle share round at Richy’s. Clear gold. Bubbly, thin, white head. Tropical fruit, emphasis on pineapple. Sweet, custard malts. Sets off sweet, turning pithy bitter. Smooth, full body. Easy drinking. Fruity, bitter finish.

27th June 2015: 335ml bottle (between 5) at the 2nd Annual Midlands tasting: cheers Martin for one of the best beers of the day. Golden pour with a thin white head. The aroma was all about tropical fruits, as was the taste, Mango’s and Pineapple like sweetness with just a mini hint of citrus flavours. Really enjoyed this.
