Bottle 700ml @ Vin- & delikatessehuset, Holstebro
Pours clear brown with no head. Aroma has notes of honey, raisin, caramel and hint of alcohol and wood. Taste is medium to heavy sweet with a long warm, dried fruity and honey finish. Body is full, texture is sticky with no carbonation.

Sample @ Salling. Clear brown with no head. Aroma is honey, spices, caramel and herbs. Flavour is honey, warming, caramel, herbs and wood.

Bottle @ Home, courtesy of HenrikSoegaard. Pours clear dark amber, nice lacings. Aroma of honey, wood, some alcohol. Flavor is honey, wood, light spice, booze. Medium body, strong warming alcoholic finish. To heavy on the alcohol. 100213

Ceramic bottle. clear dark amber, no head, but a few bubbles. Dark for a mead. Alcohol domnates the aroma, which also have some honey, and something that resembles wood. alc. is stinging in the nose. Too much alcohol has been added to this one. Flavor is burning alcohol, honey, "ceramic bottle", flowers. Beneath the burning alc. there is some good stuff going on, but the alc. really distracts a lot.

Bottle 700ml. ceramic bottle.Clear medium to dark amber color with no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy dark honey, wood, shoe polish, moderate alcohol, hops and honey. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20100618]
