The inspiration for this beer comes from a delightful breakfast – whole wheat toast slathered with rich chocolate, boysenberry and cherry jam. We chose a more complex grain recipe to highlight the flavors of toasted bread crust and chocolate. The introduction of lactic acid bacteria adds complexity to the fruitiness. Cocoa nibs are added at different stages to intensify the chocolate notes. Finally, we incorporated boysenberry and sweet cherry jam during fermentation, resulting in this delicious liquid dessert.
