Inspired by our recent trip to Cologne, the first German beer style brewed on the new kit. subtle & soft, a slight malty sweetness up front with a lovely crisp finish. very drinkable at 5.0%.

Can bought at Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Light and slightly opaque gold. Foamy translucent white head soon shrinks. Aroma is earthy and metallic. Develops a sour edge. Chewy malts. Flavourwise it's sour with a metalic edge. Spice into the finish. Underlying sweet hints. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Too sour and metallic for me.
