Golden Ale with sage, truly bitter with a subtle Bouquet. In the depths of a glass of La Meule lurks a truly amazing fresh, herbal kick that will instantly convince you this one deserves to be put in a class of its own. Intense herbal aroma, soft on the palate. balanced and complex, with a hint of sage. Long herbal (bitter) dry finish.

Small white head. Hazy yellow body. Resiny apricot aroma with peppery spicy notes. Dry spicy wooden caramelly gingery aftertaste. Quite nice, mild, and interesting. (0.33l bottle from Allen.)

Bottle from Allen, thanks! Blonde, hazy. Sharp citric acidic aroma with hints of apple and vinegar. Firm flowery citric hopbitter flavor with hints of vinegar, but the basic flavor is not sour and maybe a touch herbal (the promised sage?). First signs of infection?

Pours hazy golden. Aroma is herbal (sage), reminescent of medicinal herbs. Reminded me a lot of Saint Somewhere’s Saison. Taste is light and sweet., herbal taste is well present. Very nice brew, smooth and drinkable.

Botltle. Slightly citrus sour aroma over mild malt. Hazy orange golden color with a decent white head. Medium body w/creamy carbonation. Nicely, refreshingly, lightly sour in a citrus way. Quite dry. Very good to drink.

Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt with some spices (sage). Taste is also dominated by some nice Belgian malt notes with some sage also easily noticeable. Body is full with some limited filtration and great carbonation. Very well done and sage provide an interesting edge to this Belgian ale.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Strong citrus and spicey (sage) notes. Light acetic and moderate bitter flavor. Very spicey(pepper and sage?). Average finish. Oily palate. Interresting beer that I woudnt mind trying again.
