23rd June 2008. Cloudy beer. A subtle fruitiness leads to a bitter herby finish that is also quite dry. A bit different and a tastebud livener but could not drink loads.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of Bov. Pours hazy dark orange with a small light off-white head. Aroma is floral and spiced of sage. Mild sweet flavoured with a distinct floral note. Mild yeasty and herbal too. Lasting spiced and herbal into the far finish. Interesting brew, rather unique.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts quite sourish, very fresh, fruity like lemon. Notes of cinnamon. Finish a bit moldy, but still fine sourish. Not bad! Thanks to Allen for the bottle!

(Bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with huge, frothy, white head, leaving traves of lacing. Fruity, herbal nose with citrus (lemon), herbs and spices (sage according to the label), a touch of grass and yeast. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of lemon, apricots, herbs, grass and a touch of yeast. Starts slightly sweet, but turns dry in a long, tart finish. Medium body. Interesting beer, very refreshing and spicy.

Bottled:
Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized head. Somewhat sourish sage dominated aroma. Fairly light bodied with dryish sage flavour, way too much sage. There’s a reason why hops became the main beer spice; it tastes good. Sage might be good when cooking, but please let it stay away from brewing

Bottle. Interesting but not that good brew which reminds me of an overspiced saison which could have used more hops to create a tartness. Now it’s just spices... but I kind of like it.
