Golden Ale with sage, truly bitter with a subtle Bouquet. In the depths of a glass of La Meule lurks a truly amazing fresh, herbal kick that will instantly convince you this one deserves to be put in a class of its own. Intense herbal aroma, soft on the palate. balanced and complex, with a hint of sage. Long herbal (bitter) dry finish.

Bottle. A bitter blonde with herbal aroma. Salvia is present on swallowing and gives a nice touch to it. Besides that it is a blonde rather on the malty meaty side.

Sampled 330 ml. swing-top bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Hazy citrus, small white head. Nose is milky sour lemon, fizzy with ginger & ginseng. Taste is watery ginger, ginseng, hay, floral, lactic, lemon,… Body is a bit watery, thin & fizzy. Not for me. Odd & not really successful. BFM has the BFM Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien series which is simply brilliant but otherwise?
