Golden Ale with sage, truly bitter with a subtle Bouquet. In the depths of a glass of La Meule lurks a truly amazing fresh, herbal kick that will instantly convince you this one deserves to be put in a class of its own. Intense herbal aroma, soft on the palate. balanced and complex, with a hint of sage. Long herbal (bitter) dry finish.

On tap at What’s Brewing 2015, Stavanger, Norway. Pours cloudy dark golden. Aroma of herbs and spices, ginger, floral, a little mint, boiled vegetables. Taste bitter and spicy, with some sweetness and astringency. Thin to medium bodied.

On draught at Au bon coin, Nernier. Golden-orange, hazy, with a decent amount of white head. Good amount of visible carbonation. Vanilla, melon and sweet herbs in the aroma. Very gentle sweet taste, finishing on a bittersweet note. Thinnish body but nicely carbonated.

Hazy yellow color with nice white head. Fresh, herbal aroma, a bit of hay. Taste is bit malty, fruity, herbal, maybe basilicum, refreshing. Low but present carbonation. Very pleasant. Not bad!

It pours a hazy orange yellow with a 1 finger head of foam and does well with the lacing.
It smells spicy and earthy which likely comes from the sage used. Plenty of coriander in there as well.
Big coriander and bigger sage with a dash of pepper. No sweetness here, mild hint of tartness, good level of unusual bitterness.
Medium body and carbonation.
Enjoyable for the most part.

Tap at Marciero. Lovely orange-golden color, cloudy, with lace. Big sage nose, golden malts, a bit too much sage for me, but it works in the flavor. Malty and sweet, sage, orange rich malts. dry finish. Interesting use of the spice and pretty enjoyable.
