Golden Ale with sage, truly bitter with a subtle Bouquet. In the depths of a glass of La Meule lurks a truly amazing fresh, herbal kick that will instantly convince you this one deserves to be put in a class of its own. Intense herbal aroma, soft on the palate. balanced and complex, with a hint of sage. Long herbal (bitter) dry finish.

Bottle from AndrewC, thanks my friend. Hazy pale gold lasting big white head. Some herby aroma. It’s like a Belgian wit beer with some sage and some dryness on the finish. It’s got a little perfumed soap. I like the dryness on the finish. It’s a decent Belgian wit with some sage. OK.

Bottle from Embrouille - thank you! Pours cloudy light amber or full yellow with airy but stable white head. Complex aroma of hops, malt, citrus, vine, yeast and spices. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with clear notes of citrus, estery and malty touches, and hints of sage. Well-balanced and enjoyable. A decent S/H/V.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Murky pale yellow. Yeasty and spicy aroma of sage with fruit esters, light funky notes and a bit of olives. Yeasty and spicy flavor with sage, some fruitiness and a finish with a bit of bitterness. Light to medium-bodied.

Deutlicher Kräutergeruch. Im Antrunk sind die Kräuter weniger intensiv als gedacht, herb-süß, rund, stimmig. Voller werdend, die Kräuternoten werden intensiver und wirken fast etwas übertriebem. OK. 11/10/12/10//10

Pours hazy pale amber with a small head.Nose shows a mix of lemon, herbal notes, barnyard funk and doughy wheat. The funk is quite prominent.Flavours include more brett and acidity followed by an astringent finish. Some lemon and wheat pokes it’s head out.Carbonation is suitably high, the body feels watery though.Interesting, but a little the herbal notes and accompanying astringency are a little harsh.

Clear pale blond to orange beer, creamy dense white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, grains, yeasty, lots of coriander, cow fodder, rather unpleasant, don’t like it very much. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, grains, cow fodder, watery, meh. Aftertaste: grains, hay, grassy, don’t like it. And apparently didn’t like it the first time either in 2012…

3/V/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Klaas' place - BB: II/12 (2012-463) Thanks to Bene for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy beige beer, small off-white head, dissipates immediately. Aroma: lots of smelly cheese, smelly feet, some citrus, overripe fruits, peppery. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: rotten fruits, citrus, pretty sour, infected like, some grapefruit, band-aid. Aftertaste: little bitter, sour touch, rotten fruits, cheesy, very unpleasant and bitter ending. WTH is this...?

Syrlig, jästsmak, känner inte igen smaken som salvia men uppskattar kryddningen. Fint sommaröl som alternativ till veteöl.

Sampled from the tap. Poured a hazy pale gold with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced. Aroma had a good amount of citrus and lemon with some dry funk and a bit of light grain. Flavor began with lemon and morphed in to a dry slightly funky finish with some earthy grains backing.
