Double Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
This Emperial Stout was aged in Willett bourbon barrels for 15 months and then moved to cherry brandy barrels for 17 months to finish its journey. We then conditioned it on a blend of whole dark roast coffee and espresso beans & a touch of Madagascar vanilla beans. The cherry brandy helps promote the dark fruit flavors and subtle sweetness of the base Stout and pairs perfectly with the coffee. We really dig this dark creation and hope it moves you to The Dark Side!

On tap at Arkane, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is decadent, with lots of brandy barrel upfront, followed by espresso, some vanillin, and oak. Flavour is a massive coffee bomb upfront, with an absurd brandy barrel character, vanilla, light bourbon, and just enough sugars. Extreme coffee bomb wrapped up in luxurious but assertive cherry brandy barrels. Lingers on and on. Phenomenal stuff.
