Billy’s Morgantown Brown – An Imperial American Brown Ale that boasts strong chocolate and roasted flavors. Its hefty malt bill not only boosts the alcohol content of the beer, but also lends a sweetness that nicely balances the chocolate and roasted characters. To top it off, copious amounts of Simcoe and Chinook hops are added at the end of the boil and in the fermentor (dry-hopped) to provide a slight ‘piney’ character. A strong, but approachable brown ale with a silkly smooth finish. A ‘bigger’ and stronger-flavored brown ale compared to Nate’s Nut Brown (which is an English-style Brown Ale). ABV = 8.0%; IBU=50.
