Poured from a can dated 4/23/26 into a becher pint
Pours a cloudy orange, reminiscent of orange juice with a frothy two and quarter finger off white head that just lazily hangs around leaving plenty of sticky lace.
Aroma is citrus forward, predominantly white grapefruit. Opens into a more tropical mango and berry medley. Slight unappealing wet cardboard note trying to push it's way in as well.
Taste tends to follow the aroma with a pithy citrus peel and juicy white grapefruit taking the lead. Pithy citrus bitterness melds with the sweeter tropical and berry notes. No uppealing flavors unlike on the nose.
It's medium bodied with a slightly prickly carbonation while still being "creamy". A fair bitterness balances any sweetness nicely. Finishes long and leans toward the dry side. Smooth and very sessionable.
Overall it's an enjoyable IPA, far from the best Little Willow IPA I've had but one I'd gladly come back to. I'd like to think the off notes in the aroma wouldn't be there if it was a bit more fresh. I've also had plenty of NEIPA that had a beautiful aroma at 6 weeks old.
