Our strong Scotch ale aged in Brandy barrels for 5 months. The barrel aging imparts aromas of vanilla, pear, caramel, and soft chocolate onto the toffee, plums, and dried fruit flavors of the ale’s strong body.

Draft courtesy of ajax25g, thanks! Dark maroon color, tan edge head. Aroma of molasses, vanilla, light licorice. Taste is bourbon, burnt coffee. A bit harsh.

On draft at the brew pub. Poured a pretty dark, pretty much black color with a small, almost wispy tan head. Aroma was notes of brandy oak, some toffee, touch of vinous notes. Flavor was some light tart fruit notes, caramel, vanilla. Nicely aged in my opinion.

On draft at the brewpub it is a brown with a slight head. The aroma is of brandy and vanilla. The taste is brandy and has a sweet flavor that lingers on the palate.

On draft at the brew pub in Falls Church VA. Pours black with a slight tan head. Big brandy nose. Flavors of toffee, plums, white grapes, oak and vanilla. Medium bodied, light carbonation, and a boozy finish.
