Shortlived whitish head over cold-hazed blonde beer. Sweet, boozy nose, vanilla, even sultanas; palm leaf, artichoke, scorched sugar. Sweet, double cream or condensed milk with vanilla, raw grains, again vanilla touches and white candi sugar. Alcoholburn and some -thinning. Very slick, even oily/viscous feel. Adequate carbonation. To me, another confirmation of the thesis that blond strong beer is an awkward subject for barrel aging - dark, melanoidin rich beer is so much more gratifying. OK, there are exceptions. Txs to Hans B.
