Inspired by the Chartist leaders of 1839, 'John Frost' Stout has a solid fawn-coloured head on top of a pitch-black body. Mid-sweet, roasted earthy malts on the nose, promising well blended taste profile of dark malts smoothly roasted ending. Velvety smooth mouth feel. Very well crafted stout.

24/5/2026. Bottle at the ITFC beer share. Bought direct from the brewer. Good pour. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, vanilla, coffee, liquorice, fudge cake. Medium sweet, moderate roasted bitterness. Good body, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Very nice.
