Farmers play a huge role in the brewing process. They provide us with the grains that serve as the base of the beer and the hops that flavor and preserve it, while also reusing the byproducts of brewing as feed and fertilizer. Cheers to our local farmers, and to Dan Roberts for creating this beautiful beer!

Bottled of course, red brown pour, lots of off white/beige head. Malts, some hop character and a bit of fruits - sort of the like the Ommegang Fire &Blood red ale that’s out currently.

Pours a very nice copper from a bottle, nice foamy head. Nice maltiness, some light pine notes in the nose. Pleasantly bitter on the finish. Pretty good beer.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is hazy reddish-amber brown with tons of sparkle, 3-finger width foamy beige head with good retention and light soapy lacing. Aroma is cracker/bread and citrusy bitterness. Taste is cracker/bread along with hint of fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and mildly sweet malty finish with lingering dry bitterness. Overall, aroma and flavor are neither terribly strong, nor terribly interesting. Nothing special.

16 ounce bottle. Copper red pour. Large frothy beige head. Rich caramel malt aroma. Flavor upfront is toasted malt, caramel, earthy, spicy hops and light pine. Wonderful balance and flavor. Visually, this brew is perfect. Flavor wise its outstanding. The finish is resiny hops without being to bitter. Amazing.

$7.29 bomber from Wine Warehouse. Pours cloudy reddish brown with a nice, soft frothy beige head. Lovely aroma of pine, dark fruits, passion fruit, citrus, melon. Flavor is outstanding. Fruity roasted and toasted malts, bread crumbs, passion fruit, pine, aftertaste of definite apricot. VERY well done.

Bottle thanks to Don. Pours a cloudy brown with medium frothy beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus, pine, spruce. Medium mouth, nice bitter hop bite, pine, grapefruit, light caramel in finish, very nice.

Bottle at Novare Res Bier Cafe, Portland. Originally rated 20160221. Bottled 020216 so it is super fresh. Colour is deep slightly cloudy reddish copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Caramel, fruits, harshness, hops and malts. Very impressive. Definitely best beer of this style. Body is amazing.

On the side of the bottle reads \"042815.\"
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a two finger white foamy rocky head that dissipated in about a minute and a half. Light stringy lacing sticks in a semi-thick sort of fashion.
The smell starts off with a citrus zest with the citrus rind running over top of a light caramel presence. Its there for the style but doesn’t show a whole lot of depth.
The taste is mainly bitter through the citrus zest and rind. Sweet is only there to balance in the caramel, but even that isn’t exactly balanced once again. Bitter citrus aftertaste that leads into a sliding bitter citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation packs enough sharpness but still allows the bitterness to display most of the sharpness.
Overall, for an American Red/Amber ale, this one is a bit more hoppier than others. Might not necessarily be a session beer, but more likely one just to enjoy as is.
