Still Bone Dry Fine Cider
Old Man & The Bee is the annual homage to the beautiful home orchard at Little Pomona and the wonderful fruit it provides every year. 2021 was a fine growing season, characterised by a lack of extremes. Settled conditions at blossom time, and gently warm summer and autumn months have given the ciders made from it a balanced and harmonious feel. A blend of Dabinett (76%), Harry Masters Jersey (14%) and Foxwhelp, it is a golden liquid in the glass. Naturally fermented and then aged in a selection of fine oak barrels.
Honeysuckle, peaches and a touch of honey on the nose lead to a textured, juicy mouthful of tangy apples and slightly underripe apricots, with super soft tannins, a little spice and sweet vanilla from the barrels in which it was matured. Alc. 7% vol

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Hazed orange golden colour, no head and aroma of apple, peach, honeysuckle, woody, oak, funk. Taste is tart, tangy, appley, fruits, peachy, wood barrel, oaky, vanilla, apricot, with honey & funky hints, some acidity and drying soft tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry fruity tannic finish. Very drinkable.
