Moiré is a blended barrel aged Imperial Stout and Imperial Wheat Stout, aged for 18 to 24 months in Weller bourbon barrels and ex maple Danish rye whiskey barrels. After blending, the beer was given an extended maturation on a generous amount of Blue Vanilla, adding softness, depth and a layered aromatic richness.

The name Moiré refers to the effect that appears when two colours or patterns meet and create something new in between. Here, that idea comes mainly from the way the Blue Vanilla moves through the beer: the dark barrel aged stout forms one layer, while the vanilla brings a brighter, aromatic layer of its own. Together they create a new expression, softer, deeper and more rounded than either element on its own.
