For this classic style, we decided to use the "king of German hops" known as Hallertau Mittelfrüh, hence the name. Mittelfrüh translates into "middle-early," which is the optimum time during the harvest season to pluck these hops from their bines. This "noble" hop exhibits gentle floral and herbal flavors with the addition of spice undertones.
