(Bottle) clear, fluorescent bright golden yellow colour with a small white head; aroma of grass, hint of sourness and spiciness; balanced, rich flavor with a long, medium bitter finish; better than many macro German equivalents

Hairy Lobster, Portland bottle: pours golden with white head. Aroma is light fruitiness and graininess. Taste is low bitterness, bread and light fruity sweetness in a German way.

On tap at the brewery in PDX. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A sweet toasty nose. Smooth, very clean, a bit of dusty earthy grains, lemons, light citrus. Very flavorful. Great kolsch.

On tap at St. Augustine with Ash during Double Mountain tap takeover (thx, Alex, lol). Pours a slightly hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma is fruity and some caramel. Taste is pretty the same with some citruses notes. Quite good.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with a nearly absent grain aroma. Extremely light flavor and body. Watery, and a bit of corn. Nice, cool, refreshing finish. Goes nicely on the hot days. I enjoy this.

Awesome kolsch! Brewers in Cologne would be proud to have this. One of the best American kolschs I’ve tried. Light and bready, lots of pale malt, biscuits, crackers. Tall airy head (poured into my Fruh stange), Pale golden and effervescent. Right from the first sniff I knew this was going to be good.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Muddy blond color with small head. Light grassy aroma, with light cereals. Smooth mouthfeel; some cereals flavor, not exactly breadish, with hints of grassy hops, correct bitterness, some final astringency.
Too dirty to be in-style, but not too bad either.
