Location: On tap at the Brew Pub, 8/16/09
Aroma: Earth, spice, caramel, aroma is a bit muted, but decent
Appearance: Clear golden-orange
Flavor: Balance of earthy hops, and spicy malts, but lacking in hops
Palate: Solid mouthfeel, light-medium in body
Overall Impression: One of the better things they had to offer on the day I visited, this beer is a decent IPA by any definition, but just a bit lacking in overall complexity and its hop profile. Nose was a bit too muted for me, and I just prefer a touch more hops from an IPA.

Draft at the brewpub. Orange-brown color. Mild English style IPA. Smooth and creamy, possibly fined. This is one of Maryland’s best IPAs in my opinion. Toasty and well balanced. Some light fruity malt esters. Right on.
