750ml bottle. Poured a hazy, dark brown-amber color with a huge, huge, huge head. Was initially worried about infection because it was almost all foam, and the bottle kept slowly foaming over for at least 15 minutes. Aroma was light chocolate notes, with some mild pumpkin spices. Light sweet cocoa nib notes, light barrel notes. I actually really liked this one despite being a slow gusher.

On tap at PNP Charleston. Clear light Amber with medium/small off-white head. Aroma is nice pumpkin, light body, lower carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is pumpkin, some bourbon, and hints of chocolate.

Dark brown coloured body with a rich and dense ligth brown head, about four centimetres tall. Aroma of allspice, canella, cloves and a good dose of nutmeg, all with a lot of rich peaty malt and some noticeable caramelised sugars. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malt flavours abound with a good deal of spices and a lot of sweetness at the end. Aftertaste shows caramel, toffee, pit fruits, malt and a lot of spices that permeate and a soft alcohol warmth at the end. Overall, a very nice spiced beer with a rich flavour throughout and a nice complexity. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 21-August-2015 for US$8,99 sampled in the mountains of Shenendoah National Park on 19-September-2015.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 11/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy reddish orange color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of caramel, pumpkin, toast, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, vanilla, toffee, oak, bourbon, light cocoa, and herbal/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, pumpkin/spices, and bourbon barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of big caramel, pumpkin, toast, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, vanilla, toffee, oak, bourbon, light cocoa, and herbal/oak earthiness. Light oak/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, pumpkin, toast, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, vanilla, toffee, oak, bourbon, light cocoa, and herbal/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt, pumpkin/spices, and bourbon barrel flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice barrel aged imperial pumpkin ale style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, pumpkin/spices, and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Actually taste more like gourd than many pumpkin beers. Pours dark amber with good head and lacing light sweet finish and a hint of clove. Some barley. Small sample at whole foods.
