My first pumpkin beer. Hazy orange with bubbling from carbonation. Real heavy, spicy nutmeg flavor. Maybe I don’t care for the style, but I didn’t enjoy this. Or maybe I need to try another brewer’s offering.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a bit of off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt with a bit of cinnamon. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Has a strong taste of of buttery pumpkin and baking spices. Medium bodied with a slick and oily texture. Lively carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, pretty good beer. Pick this one if you want a pumpkin beer but don’t want to drink pumpkin pie.

Bottle. Poured clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma was slightly vegetable and sort of eggy .. weird smell, I was expecting more spice. Flavor was vegetable, a little spice/pepper, rather bland. Meh. The whole thing was weak.

On tap at HopCat. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head that laced nicely. Aroma was full of cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg, with a cooked veggie and pumpkin note as well. Flavor had was full of the spices above with a weak pumpkin note.

Pours an orange color with a fizzy white head. The aroma is pretty prominent or maybe I just had let my beer warm for too long, aroma has got a kind or grassy aspect, along with a bunch of spice, smells kinda smoky, but not exactly. Overall, the aroma is very autumn oriented if that makes any sense. Got some hop bite to it, but not very much. Very slightly sweet. somewhat bitter. Easy drinking on the palate, as it is rather light bodied.

Bottle: A pale, translucent copper pour with a finger of fluffy white head. Less spice in the nose than most pumpkin ales (from this season). Just a little nutmeg, pumpkin, and malt. Crisp and tongue-tingling mouthful of florals, pumpkin, and cloves. Gets a little dirty and earthy in the end with a lingering spiciness; kind of like a spice potpurri led by cloves. Not bad at all.
