AutumnFest is Weyerbachers own unique twist on the German Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It is a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer.

Weyerbacher AutumnFest (ABV 5.4%) is generally available in stores August through December. Pick up a case to celebrate the change of seasons. Prost!

Pours amber color with off white head. Caramel malt aroma with some metallic notes. Caramel and molasses flavors with mild hoppiness. Medium body with average carbonation. An average Octoberfest that is unoffensive and easy to drink. Not bad.

Pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts rolled into a ball of mild caramel, nuttiness then a touch of vegetable hoppiness. The taste pans out nearly the same as the aroma but includes a water thin body and similar lack of depth. I get mild roasted malts, crystal malts mixing with faint stale caramel, some nuttiness and a murmur or two of dark fruity esters of cherries and prunes. So so.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color lager with an average head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of dry caramel hops with no discernable hops or many other characteristics. Taste is also dominated by some dry caramel malt. I know this is not the most extreme style out there and it is meant to be drank in large quantities but this one was just a bit too average in all aspects.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Hazy, deep amber golden with an off-white head. Very intense, sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a very, very solid malt, a whiff of flowers and a little caramel. Subdued bitterness but some alcohol is shining through in the finish. 210308

Bottled. A hazy dark golden (orangey) beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of spices and honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, malt, and caramel as well as light notes of bread, leading to a dry ans slightly bitter finish. More complex than your usual Oktoberfest.

bottle - Pours orange with a one finger head and a caramel malt aroma. The flavor is of lightly roasted malt. It’s smooth, medium bodied, and as expected from the style has little hops presence. It is what it is, an easy drinking session brew.
