A silky smooth 6.5% IPA brewed to showcase the latest crop of Alora hops from Hopsteiner. When we visited Yakima Valley last year and experienced the fresh Alora hops, their vibrant burst of zesty yuzu immediately stood out. For this release, we’ve paired it with New Zealand Motueka to layer bright lemon-lime citrus over a soft, juicy tropical base.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation emerging on the back end. Light smooth pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. Alora hops bring light cooling pine, I would say mild yuzu citrus, mild but bright. Motueka fits in here rather nicely with light lime and lemon. Light finish. Hmm. Alora was quite obviously Yuzu in a few of the first round beers I tried. Here l, yes Yuzu but softer and less punchy. Hoping that is a supply issue and not many hops could be used here. The alternative is the Alora is already suffering from terrior spread. Hop philosophy aside, this is a nice IPA.
