Daybreak

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small scummy almost white head and good lacing. The aroma is a strange mixture of bitter citrus and floor polish, In the mouth it has a sweet wrapping on a bitter base – some sharpness too later on. Initial flavours are floral hops, citrus and pine resin,. After a while there’s quite a bit of mango and hints of lime and gooseberries leading to a somewhat dry and sticky finish. This is quite decent if a little strange.
