Bottle thanks to Stuu. Pours almost still dark brown with no head. Aromas of whisky liqueur chocolates. Taste is boozy, woody, coconut and chocolate. The lack of carbonation lets it down though. Should maybe have sat on this a bit longer to carb up before release.

Bottle thanks to Stuu.
Appearance - opaque black, olive sheen and a very quickly disappearing head. Undecarbonated, in fact.
Nose - molasses, wood, booze and honey.
Taste - more booze, vanilla, woodspice, maple syrup and spiced cake.
Palate - medium bodied, sweet and fairly long.
Overall - undercarbonated but good still.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours black with no head. Smells of chocolate, coconut, booze. The flavor is sweet with lots of chocolate malt and some coconut. Impact of the barrel aging seems light. Full bodied.
