Draft at the Lord Nelson, The Rocks, Sydney. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, ashtray. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a mostly rich, smooth, roasty, light nutty, caramel, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Pint on tap at Club Rivers, Riverwood. Nitro, 5%. Dark brown beer with a creamy white head. Nose is chocolate and coffee. Light body, flat mouthfeel. Finish is bitter sweet with a little hint of liquorice. Not bad, bit of a lightweight.

Med brown. Mostly caramelly aroma. Sweet and with a touch of sour, I guess not as well -developed as I’d like.
