Aroma Coma is our summer seasonal India Pale Ale. We’ve brewed it annually since 2009 for a local IPA festival, where it was selected one of the top three beers in the competition. The malt bill consists of almost all 2-row barley malt, with a touch of Caramalt for body - leaving you with a delightfully hop-forward experience. Generous amounts of Cascade, Chinook, CTZ & Citra hops create the citrus, pine, and floral notes. Breathe ’Em in and enjoy!

Bottle, 22oz. It pours an unclear golden-orange body and a small, dense, off-white head, The aroma is lightly and tropical, with peaches and some bananaa. Full-bodied and tasteful, with a pleasnt level of carbonation. Lasting flavor with tropical fruits, orange peel and some malty sweetness. Lasting biter finsh. A nice one indeed. 130803

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of pine, tropical fruits, resinous hops, and floral notes. Flavour brings out loads of pine, followed by oranges, resin, and floral, with a thick caramel malt backbone. Quite full-bodied, but without any sweetness from the thick malt backing. Finishes dry and piney. Great IPA.

GABF, 2012. Good. This is a balanced IPA with lightly sweet malt and fresh, citrus hops. Good flavor, I expect this is best very fresh. Very good hop aroma.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This beer pours a clear amber-gold color with a medium thick off-white head and patchy lacing. The aroma consists of citrus, hops and pine. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Deep golden orange pour. Lots of bubbles but fades fast. American hops like cascade and simcoe. Hint of grass. Taste is heavy, sort of mineral like and hard. Bitterness is high and malt backbone is low and doesn't quite match the IBUs.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Pours a touch hazy orange appearance with a white head. Big grapefruity, somewhat resiny, a bit spicy, floral hoppy aroma. Tangy grapefruity, a bit grassy herbal, somewhat dry, straw grainy flavor. Maybe a bit old.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a copper glow and a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bright, floral, piney, grapefruity and especially citrusey PNW hops - amazing smell, with a good malt backbone noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and piney hops with a lot of citrus flavours, some metallic bitterness and a good malt flavour throughout with earth, toffee and a bit of sweetness from unfinished sugars. Aftertaste is definitely bitter from the hops with a good and pleasant, almost mouthwatering hop note, complete with a good malt balance and enough alcohol and sweetness to be complex. Overall, a very nice IPA with great characteristics and even better balance. Not as good as some of the Southern California options, but this is very good to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Hi-Time Wine & Liqours in Costa Mesa, California on 05-August-2012 for US$7.47 sampled at home in Washington on 12-August-2012 to celebrate the end of the London Olympics (with the US with the hightest gold/overall medals) and to also celebrate running more today than US marathoner Ryan Hall, who DNFed.
