Draught. Served a little too cold which dampened the aroma. Faint caramel and chocolate aroma. Full bodied robust flavour, espresso and chocolate. . Malty finish. Glad I got a pint before the keg blew.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark dark brown with a beige head. Aromas of burnt malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite chocolate over smooth burnt malt. Good porter. V. Gd.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a rich looking mahogany with tan head. The aroma has assertive levels of highly roasted malts to burnt malts along with maybe caramel and chocolate. The taste is full and roasty and burnt. In fact this is a highly roasty to burnt malt brew with mild notes of chocolate and just noticeable levels of molasses. If you like your Porters very roasty, as I do, then this is for you.

My first Flyers beer actually made by Flyers. Pacemaker Porter is near black in colour. Roasty, chocolatey, hoppy aroma. The flavour is fairly hoppy, with some astringent roastiness. Could really use an injection of malty sweetness, as this is bracingly bitter. It’s not bad, but could be the bitterest porter I’ve ever had, strangling the subtlety right out of it.
