Our Robust Porter is brewed with eight malts to make a roasty brew with coffee and chocolate in the nose, balanced by complex caramel malt flavor and a medium full, malty mouthfeel. One of the five beers we had on draft the day we opened!

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 20A). Can 35.5 cl - Batch 5119 13:41 (BB: undeclared - canned on 07/08/25). AROMA: medium to medium-high roasted malt aroma (slight dark chocolate, coffee). APPEARANCE: very dark amber to brown color with slight ruby highlights. medium-low beige head, creamy, with average retention. TASTE: medium-high roasted malt flavor (dark chocolate, coffee) with a low burnt character. slight malty richness on the background. medium bitterness with an almost dry and roasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a nice american porter.

A clear very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, mid sweet chocolate and brownies. Taste of mid sweet roasted dark malt, chocolate, vanilla, caramel.

5oz pour at the Fremont location. Pours mostly opaque brown with a beige head. Aroma has roasted malts and coffee. Flavour has very bready malts; crusty finish. Simple profile but well-done.

A small pour. Appearance: clear brown with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, some coffee, roasted seeds. Taste: along the same lines, quite clean, a bit earthy. Overall: pretty good for what it is.
