Mallassepät Sahti Vaalea honors the heritage of Finnish sahti. Traditionally uncarbonated and brewed with juniper, sahti is a unique Finnish farmhouse ale with a rich, full-bodied character. This deep golden example delivers malty depth and gentle banana-like notes from traditional fermemtation.

Can bought at Alko Arkadia, Hki. An opaque red tinged brown. Thin foamy white head quickly disappears. Aroma is fruity. Sweet with a sour edge. Flavourwise it very sweet - sugary fruit - with a bitter edge that's more prominent into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Just not something I want to drink a lot of!

A brown beer, almost without head, only beige bubbles. Aroma has grain, some spicyness of juniper and yeast. Taste has grain, fruitness of banana, hint of spicyness. Medium+ bodied, smooth. Balanced, easier -type of sahti.
