Arôme discrètement parfumé suivi d’une saveur délicatement amère.
Au palais, L’Abbaye de Forest laisse un subtil fruité de raisin sec qui se conclut par un amer tonifiant très agréable en bouche.

3rd October 2008. Pale gold beer. Dry and crisp. Mild watery malt and just a hint of a little sourish hop at the end. Goes down okay but lacks something.

Slightly hazy dark straw. Herbal-lemon balm, coriander leaf nose is slightly hoppy and yeast. Fun. Palate is dynamic but still shows some pepper notes. Lots of perfumey coriander. Not bad balance. Finishes herbal and with a dryness that shows gin, hop and alcohol. Interesting, approachable abbey ale.

Bottled (Bs, BB 09/2010). Clear golden-yellow color, good cloudy white head. Light citrus, wheat and spices in the nose. Light palate. Pear and banana, some spices, short fruity aftertaste. Kind of refreshing, but same time very simple, uninteresting.

[33cl bottle] Hazy, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Yeasty and sweet malty with distinctive citrus- and berry-fruity notes. Moderately sweet and bitter flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly bready and fruity taste with a quite lasting not to sweet finish with rounded spicy aspects. Enjoyable brew [09.I.09].

Bottle @ Take One. Hazy golden colour, white head. Very fruity aroma, malty and flowery. Flavour adds some hoppy notes to that, with a slightly bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Becomes a bit boring in the end.

Bottle: Poured a golden color with an off white head. Aroma is fruity. The taste is soft fruits with rich malt and a slight bitter hops. Very balanced from start to finish, left my mouth dry ready for more.

33 cl. bottle at Delirium Pub. Light fruity aroma. Gold color with a sort of lacing white head. Medium body with light carbonation. Lightly fruity with minimal bitter. Enough to balance. It drinks incredibly well. Refreshing. Goes down a treat.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a huge white head. Aroma is quite spicy, slightly alcoholic and some yeast and fruits also. Also some slight sugary sweet notes. Flavour is bigtime fruits, spices and some yeast. Mild acidicness, and leaves a dry palate. Pleasantly balanced and quite easy to drink.
