For my 50th birthday, many of my friends clubbed together and bought me a entire 30 litre cask of Raasay peated whisky...The Emperor's Dram!
I KNOW, RIGHT!
After the whisky had been in the oak cask for 3 years, it was bottled and they sent me the whisky...and the cask!
I immediately put a big imperial stout into it...and after 12 months...this is the result.
If you enjoyed the Bespin Trap and Bespin Duel...this one is for you.
Chocolate, coffee and smoky peat all combine to make this a tremendously complex and lingering beer.
