Straight from the barrel at the brewery, barrel from ’09, so 3 yr old. Clear pale reddish color. Lovely cherry aroma, good tartness. Great fruitiness, good tartness in taste as well. Wonderful stuff again.

draft @ WoSF 2012 // lighter wine red with no head // smell is full sweet kriek, touch pie filling here too // medium tart, mellow kriek, touch bitter with a sour side to it, touch lemon in finish // flat, almost touch watery but not quite yet // quite nice /// Tried a 2009 bottle THX to Martinus @ Borefts 2013. Man this is way better than what I have had before, total blast of acidity, acidic kriek skins, almost vinegar-style but super drinkable & balanced, clearly not for everyone but really, really my kind of thing. Reminds me a bit of the very old De Troch Kriek I have had also thanks to Martinus, mmm this is really the stuff. Upped to 4.7 --- Beer merged from original tick of Kriekenlambik - on 26 May 2013 at 05:07 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 9. Original review text: Sampled draft @ WoSF 2013. Thx to Travlr. Odd fox, rosé pinkish colour with no head. Nose is tart kriek, kriek pits, semi-chirsmats spices,… Taste is lovely tart kriek & grape skins, tart juice, kriek skin, same light spices in the back,… Lovely flat & really easy to drink. Great stuff.

Modriger Antrunk und weiterer Verlauf, die Kirschnoten spielen dabei nur eine untergeordnete Rolle. Unausgewogen, das Fruchtlambiek wirkt etwas stümperhaft. /7/6/6//6

18/05/2011 self filled bottle from brewery @ Klaas' place (2011-214) Thanks to John for fetching us the beer!

Ruby red beer, no head. Aroma: little sour, some cheese, fruity. MF: no carbon, surprise, surprise. Medium body. Taste: green apples, cherries and raspberries, little vinous, vanilla touches. Aftertaste: vinegar, some red berries. Not bad, but not super duper either. Happy I got to taste it though!

Draught Hazy brick red; no head. Beautiful old cherry, cherrystones, speculoos nose, parsley. Speculoos, but old one, which has gone stale, nearly rancid, very strange. Of course a lot of acidity, lactic acid, acetic, but remarkably little fruitiness, just some cherry at the lips. Medium bodied. I substitute of much taste, the cherries lend some rounded body to the beer. Very original kriek. Not what one expects, but it is not bad at all.
