Draught @ La Jolla Brewing Company. Aroma has orange juice and tropical fruits. Flavour has orange, grapefruit and some malt. Also mild, sweet berry juice tones in the finish. Decent.

On tap at Tsuki to Taiyo Brewing. Murky orange with an off-white head. Aromas of grain, citrus and pine with a bit of blood orange. The blood orange comes through on the palate more as it warms up (especially on the finish). Easy to drink and refreshing. Not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale on 17 Jul 2015 at 18:47 - Score: 6

Poured from a bottle showing extremely cloudy orange and a finger of white foam. The nose shows a lot of sweet malt and very slight hints of orange. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Orange zest compliments the bittering hops and the orange flavors support most of the sweet malts. Works quite well.

Bottle at Imazato. Elysian superfuzz has a great blood orange hoppy aroma. It pours a gleaming gold pour with a wonderfully fruity hoppiness. Medi bodied with a soft pillowy mouthfeel. Man this is a solidly delicious pale ale.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is well hopped. Thought I would get more of the blood orange but the hops are here in a big way. Flavor is or course hoppy but then comes that blood orange to make it even more of a citrus blast. Finish is dry but also a bit bitter and tart. This was a darn fine beer, more hoppy than I thought but the oranges are here as well.

Bottle. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head and moderate fizziness. Sweetish, apricot and peach aroma, with a touch of floral hop. Flavour had plenty more citrus character, crisp malts and a dry finish. Good.

The acidity from the blood orange is fairly noticable and makes for an unusual mouthfeel. Fairly heavy malty mouth. Decent bitterness. Nice stuff.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a slight gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Flavor has bitter citrus with some earthy grains and a bit of of sweetness underlying. Flavor has musty bitter citrus with some earthy grains and a hint of light fruits backing.
