This Belgian-style Dubbel pours a luminous golden-copper with lasting, cream-colored head. Aromas of clove and banana give way to fig, dried stone fruit, and hints of caramel and toffee. Smooth and layered, it balances gentle bitterness with rounded malt sweetness and classic Belgian spice, finishing clean with a soft warmth.

On tap at Oakshire PDX, pours a clear bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma has some bubblegumy esters, light candi sugar, and a touch of berry. Flavour is too estery, with cotton candy, bubblegumy esters, and moderate sugars. The carbonation is way too low for the style and the yeast is improperly used. Not even close to authentic, nor is it all that satisfying with all those esters.

On tap at Oakshire (Portland). Pours clear deep gold with a white head. Stale caramel and bubblegum on the nose. Flavour has a brutal run of esters over stale caramel malts. Very rough.
