We joined forces with our friends at Grand Fir Brewing to create this “clean but loud” West Coast Pilsner. This beer represents a bridge between old-world precision and the bold intensity of new-school hops. It features a Pilsner malt base and Mosaic, Krush, and Riwaka hops, which are then turned up a notch with a dash of Euphorics Pineapple Paradise. The result is lean and bright, with notes of citrus zest and pink grapefruit, and a punchy and resinous hop character.

Malt: Rahr To Thee Pilsner, Weyermann Floor Malted Bohemian Pilsner
Hops: Krush, Mosaic, Riwaka
Advanced Hop ProductsEuphorics: Pineapple Paradise
Yeast: Lager

On tap at Loyal Legion - Portland, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has dry, woody, grassy hops, biscuity malt, and what seem like dry bittering hops—I don’t get any Riwaka sadly. Flavour is much more expressive, revealing that nice Waka with the spicy, tangy hops, some pine, grassiness, and crisp crackery malt. Nicely hopped (quite pronounced residual bitterness), yet balanced, and clean. Good stuff.

On tap at Loyal Legion. Pours a slightly hazy blonde with a white head. Dry pine and dank resins on the nose. Flavour has dry pine, some resin, and a cereal malt base. Moderate carbonation. Not bad.
